Undefeated Polish star Kownacki will headline a night of heavyweight showdowns to fight in a 12-round WBA heavyweight title eliminator on March 7 at Barclays Center in the New York City borough of Brooklyn, FOX wrote in a press release issued on Saturday.

"It's great to be fighting in Barclays Center for the tenth time. The last nine bouts ended in victory for me, and March 7 won't be any different,” Kownacki was quoted as saying.

Kownacki, aka Babyface, (20-0, 15 KOs) was born in Poland and moved to Brooklyn when he was seven. He is noted for his tenacity and has been approaching a world title shot with knockouts in five of his last seven fights. He most recently beat veteran Chris Arreola in a unanimous decision win in an action-packed fight at Barclays Center in August. The fight drew a respectable crowd of  nearly 9 thousand boxing fans to the venue which was full of Kownacki’s loud and proud Polish supporters wearing red and white, Poland’s national colours.

On March 7 Kownacki will face 36-year-old Robert Helenius,  born in Sweden and fighting for Finland. This will be a second US bout for this former European Champion and winner in three of his last four fights.
